Elizabeth Warren, Candidate for US Senate from Massachusetts, lays bare the argument of the country's debt, and the obvious solution. It's not class warefare, that war was lost by the middle class, and now we are seeing what happens when too much wealth of funneled to so few. I dont mean that in some arbitrarily envious way, but when the Richest 400 people in the country have more money that the bottom 50 % (Over 150 MILLION PEOPLE.. COMBINED)! I don't care how much money you have, it's safe to say that unless one of the Koch Brothers stumble across this article, The Republican Party is NOT FOR YOU. The policies that funnel al the money to the top money hoarders, take money out of the pockets of the customers of the small businesses.
No, it's not about class warefare, it's about the right of the middle-class to exist in this country. Kudos to Elizabeth Warren.

AMERICAN JOBS ACT OVERVIEW

The American people understand that the economic crisis and the deep recession weren’t created overnight and won’t be solved overnight. The economic security of the middle class has been under attack for decades. That’s why President Obama believes we need to do more than just recover from this economic crisis – we need to rebuild the economy the American way, based on balance, fairness, and the same set of rules for everyone from Wall Street to Main Street. We can work together to create the jobs of the future by helping small business entrepreneurs, by investing in education, and by making things the world buys. The President understands that to restore an American economy that’s built to last we cannot afford to outsource American jobs and encourage reckless financial deals that put middle class security at risk. To create jobs, the President unveiled the American Jobs Act – nearly all of which is made up of ideas that have been supported by both Democrats and Republicans, and that Congress should pass right away to get the economy moving now. The purpose of the American Jobs Act is simple: put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans. And it would do so without adding a dime to the deficit.

A prominent practice these days is to use the "Big Lie" in proposals. An example of this is a bill pending in the Missouri General Assembly-- the "Fair Tax" measure. It is a blatant lie in that the tax would impose a 14% pr 15% sales tax on numerous transactions and/or purchases.
The average to lower income segments spend all or nearly all of their incomes on purchases and would therefore have most or all of their income taxed.
At the same time an income of, say $500,000 would not spend it all and would pay no taxes on the amount left over. For even higher incomes, the amount untaxed would grow. What is fair about taxing all middle and low income and giving an exemption from taxation on most of the upper incomes?
